Deepsykehead Studio, West Linton, Scotland.
An existing duck house was converted to a film editing studio in this project near West Linton.
Original stone work exposed in the detail above
The interior is kept simple and flexible with sliding screens hidden behind the plasterboard for blackout required for showing films. Large windows make the most of the stunning views.
A very important aspect of this project was the use of renewable energy and natural materials. It is highly insulated with sheep's wool and has geothermal heating and a wind turbine.
